WHAT IS PLATELET RICH PLASMA?

PRP is a high concentration of platelets surrounded in its own plasma. A small amount of blood is drawn and the red cells are isolated from the platelet-rich plasma. Since the autologous Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is processed from the patient’s own blood, there is no risk of an allergic reaction or rejection.

The internal essence of your blood contains life-giving fundamental protein growth factors. PRP utilizes a leading edge, patented technology that is specifically designed. With a simple, quick and advantageous process, your PRP professional is able to derive a high concentration of biological nutrient-rich cells and create autologous platelet-rich plasma.

HOW PRP HELPS WITH HAIR LOSS

One of the most effective ways to stimulate hair growth is mesotherapy of the head skin with PRP treatment. Individuals who have hair loss due to an inadequate diet, hormonal imbalance, and/or circulatory insufficiencies PRP treatment is a perfect solution. With PRP, your growth factors and stem cells work together to reverse the miniaturization of the hair follicle and jumpstarting dormant hair back into the growth stage. PRP is injected into the scalp so that the growth factors can work to create and stimulate new hair follicles and revive existing ones.

PRP Hair therapy taps into the regeneration powers of mesenchymal stem cells found in human blood. Blood is drawn (similar to a routine blood test) and is spun in a centrifuge, where the PRP is separated from the rest of your blood. The highly concentrated PRP is injected into your scalp and topically applied, starting its work to stimulate the growth of hair follicles. PRP hair loss treatments once every six months is known to progressively help give rise to new hair.

HOW IS PRP PERFORMED?

Step One - Consultation: Consult with an Injection Specialist to consult on your medical history, goals, assess the area you would like treated, and answer any questions you have.

Step Two - Blood Draw & Injection:  Injection can happen the same day as the consultation or you may book a follow-up injection visit. Our injector specialist will conduct a skin and scalp analysis to determine injection areas based on your goals and anatomy. To obtain the plasma, our practitioner draws an amount of blood similar to what is required for a basic lab test. The practitioner places the blood into a centrifuge and spins the blood at a very rapid rate to separate the platelets from the other components of the blood. The plasma is now ready to be injected to treatment area.

Step Three - Recovery & Results: There is no down time, but the injection site may be a bit red with some swelling/bruising which will subside in a few days.

Treatment will vary based on your need. We recommend at least 4 treatments spaced 1 month apart. After the initial set of treatments, we do suggest maintenance treatments 2-3 times per year.

We recommend a Home Hair kit for optimal results: Xcellaris Pro Hair & Scalp Therapy Kit

The Hair Lotion is used at home between in-clinic professional treatments for hair loss due to alopecia, male and female pattern baldness, falling, dry brittle and thinning hair. The lotion can be combined with the home-care Dermaroller to nourish and repair hair fibers and increase hair volume. The Xcellaris Pro
Hair lotion is Heath Canada approved.
