Dr. Vivian Kwan, ND
Naturopath, Functional Medicine
Dr. Vivian Kwan received her doctor of naturopathy from Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, is board certified and licensed to practice with the College of Naturopaths Ontario. She holds additional board designations in prescribing and to perform Intravenous vitamin therapies. She has advanced IV therapy training for anti-aging, adjunctive cancer care and mistletoe therapy. She is a member of the Institute of Functional member AFMCP, and practices evidence based medicine, functional diagnostics and enjoys spending quality time with her patients and sharing her knowledge as Docere (doctor as teacher). She received her undergraduate in Psychology and spent her early years as an esthetician and holds beauty and anti-aging in a special place.
Her passion for regenerative therapies stems from personal experience. As a person who suffered from chronic lyme disease, she experienced a variety of symptoms such as fibromyalgia like pain, joint deterioration, constant fatigue, insomnia, digestive issues, brain fog and other debilitating effects on the body on a physical and mental/emotional level, often described by patients as the sensation is feeling internally like a “100 year old person in a young body”. As a result it led her down the path to heal/repair the mitochondria through different modalities, “biohacking” as she continued her training through International Lyme and Associated Disease Society, ILADs and Lyme Solution practitioner training with Dr. Darin Ingels ND, and is a Lyme Literate ND.
Along her journey to health Dr. Kwan was able to bring together all her unique knowledge, to eliminate environmental toxins, optimize nutrients, and truly harness the body’s unique ability to heal and come back to balance. Injection therapies are a large part of her practice because many of her patients come to her with a compromised digestive system and immune system and need the extra support in the beginning of their healing process, as she works together with them to build their foundations of health. She is also well versed in botanical medicines, traditional acupuncture, nutriceuticals, physical therapies and believes food is medicine.
Dr. Kwan can be found in her spare time: hanging out with her 3 kids, volunteering globally with Naturopaths Without Borders, or busy with board work as board chair, dragon boating, eating (love food), cuddling with her dogs.
She believes everyone has the potential to reach their own health goals, by identifying the root cause and addressing each patient individually as a whole.
